Lots of Grand Visits

Before we get to any details please read carefully. Today, our little Lucy Drew is 8 months old. She has two teeth, crawls all over the place, pulls up and is trying her best to walk around the ottoman. She's sleeping pretty well (except for last night) and eating a wide variety of fruits and veggies. She is one happy girl and loves to be on the go. Lucy talks all the time, of course we can't quite understand her, but its coming along. Oh and she is almost waving...well she is, just when she wants to. She also puts her hands/arms out when she wants to be picked up.

Last week all of the Kentucky/Indiana grand kids packed in the car and headed to French Lick to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa Buuck for dinner. We spent the evening eating (desserts) and enjoying great company. Even though we took the scenic route on the way there, our trip didn't take too long and we were back home just in time for bed.

Friday night, Brandon, Lucy and I met up with the GranDeBandi's for dinner at DiFabio's in Madisonville. Lucy of course loved looking at all of the people. They made a special place for her at our table, complete with paper under her chair just in case she dropped anything. That would have been really helpful IF she had spent one second in her chair. Between the two very proud grandparents, Lucy stayed attached to them all night eating Cheerios, apple delight and peas...yum. On our way out, just for fun, I looked under Daddy Harry's chair...yup...Cheerios everywhere. Maybe next time we'll put the paper under his chair.

Saturday, we worked around the house and tried our very best not to go outside since it felt like it was a thousand degrees. Met up with Ralph for dinner and then for ice cream. Brandon just so happened to "accidentally" order the most gigantic ice cream cone i've ever seen. It was cute watching him try to hold Lucy, keep her away from the ice cream and do it all before it melted. Before we knew it, Lucy's hand was right in the ice cream. We managed to get it off of her before she got any in her mouth...i know, we're mean.

Today, we went to breakfast with Papaw Macke and planning to have the gang over for a *cookout this evening. *Apparently its called a BBQ in the rest of the country, but we aren't putting BBQ sauce on anything, so i call it a cookout.

Uncle J, Aunt Sam, Grandma and Grandpa Buuck, Lucy holding onto Grandma Buuck's necklace, Aunt Ashley and Lucy's parents at the French Lick Resort.
Yes, I have basically shaved my head.

Lucy in her favorite spot...she loves this corner of the kitchen rug.
