Its Super Bowl Sunday...basically a holiday at our house. However we only are serious if a certain New England team is in. This year we're going over to Ralph and Bake's house to cheer on the great commercials and I'm rooting for the Saints. Lucy is napping, Brandon is showering and I've been cooking a little this morning. As a Sunday tradition we ALWAYS have hot wings on football sundays, so today is no exception. Super Bowl Sunday is special because we potluck and as a rule eat like its Thanksgiving. This year The Jackson's are bringing bufffalo chicken dip, sausage balls, and peanut butter cookies with reese's cup in the center. Brandon and I have already tested a fat free(ish) version of the dip and its almost all gone. Lucy is prepping for the big game with a big nap...which should make the rest of the day pleasant.
Speaking of Lucy, she is starting to be quite the bashful little one. So if you haven't seen her in a while expect a little blushing and devilish grin. She's very into CLIMBING on everything. Her new favorite thing is to climb on the love seat and look out the window like Joey and Atticus. Still no real words but she's trying. So far her vocabulary consists of dada, mum, what sounds like dog. This sweet girl knows what she wants...when she's thirsty she brings you a sippy cup, when she's ready for a snack she brings you a bowl to put food in - usually blueberries, cheese, or cheerios. After having only 2 teeth for 6 months, she now is working on her 8th. She handled it well and didn't loose too much sleep over it.Ask her where her bellybutton is and she all but strips down to point to it. Lucy can now open just about everything, she takes the top off of the trash can and my very favorite she likes to take any cloth and clean!! Its the cutest thing I've seen! Also, she loves to pet the dogs...they allow for a bit. We are loving watching her personality shine.
Baby Boy Jackson is doing well...weighing in at a whopping 2lbs and 11oz. He's pretty much on target and things are going good. His room is coming along and he has lots of stuff so now all he needs is a name.
