We woke up this morning to garage saleapalooza traffic on our street. Of the 4 houses on our street we were the only ones not participating in the fair. Did I feel bad for not joining in? A little, but i'm over it now. Too much work, too early and we don't really have the stuff to do a garage sale because lucy is still using all of the hot items. The neighbors had a great crowd...maybe next time we'll set up a coffee and donuts stand.
Today was the big game! At our house, there is usually a big game once a week. But today, I'm talking about the Brescia Alumni Baseball Game...and it was Lucy's first time to go watch Daddy play baseball. Not to be confused with softball, i've been informed its completely different! Brandon did really good considering he had a few ailments: arm/shoulder* and that pesky hamstring. He went 2 for 3 with two doubles! And I wish that i had a picture of his outfit...I mean uniform...blue jersey, grey pants with a red/white stripe down the side topped off with an orange belt! Lucy cheered for Daddy and Uncle J as they relived the glory days. Even though the turnout wasn't as strong as everyone had hoped it was still a good time. Lucy stayed awake almost the entire game. By the way, Alumni won 13-5.
Last night he went to the Bowling Green Hot Rods game Lucy and I were supposed to go but the logistics just didn't work out. *While Brandon was there he and some friends paid a dollar to see how fast they could throw the baseball. At the end of the game, Brandon's name was announced over the loud speaker and on the jumbotron as the second highest at 82mph.
Back to Lucy...she is changing everyday! Her newest trick is playing with her feet. She loves those toes! They must taste good because she is always trying to get them in her mouth! Along with everything else. She kicks her socks off all the time...maybe that means she'll be a really great soccer player!! She does great shopping, going out to eat, riding in the car and most importantly she is sleeping through the night!! I am soooo thankful for that. We've been using the Miracle Blanket and i seriously think she sleeps an extra hour or two in that thing. She is starting to suck her thumb so i don't wrap her arms anymore but that thing is awesome! She is such a sweet girl, brandon and i are really really lucky.
I almost forgot, Lucy is starting to eat solid foods and boy does she love them...not as much as her toes, but a close second. She's had a taste of lots of things and just a little bit of baby food like peas and green beans. Her eyes light up when she sees just about any food though.
